The Law Review will begin reviewing submissions for Volume 93 in February 2024.  The Fordham Law Review strongly prefers to receive submissions via Scholastica.  We will also consider hard copy submissions, but cannot accept unsolicited submissions via email.  Due to the large volume of submissions, we are unable to respond personally to each submission.

Submissions to Fordham Law Review Online

Fordham Law Review Online (“FLR Online“), formerly Fordham Law Review Res Gestae, the online companion to the print Law Review,  provides a forum for scholars and practitioners to respond to articles published in the print Law Review and to comment on timely legal issues.  In accordance with the Law Review’s commitment to high quality legal scholarship, the standards for publication in FLR Online are consistent with those for publication in the print Law Review.  FLR Online articles are published on a rolling basis throughout the academic year.

Submissions to FLR Online should be about 3,000 words, in Microsoft Word (.docx) format, with footnotes according to the conventions found in the 21st edition of The Bluebook:  A Uniform System of Citation.  FLR Online pieces are available online in Adobe (.pdf) format.  Please note that we do not accept submissions from students currently pursuing a J.D.

To submit a piece to FLR Online via Scholastica, please click here.

If submitting outside of our active review period, please email the following to our Executive Online Editor at [email protected]:

1) A copy of the submission,
2) A resume, CV, or other biographical information, and
3) A brief abstract.

In citing to FLR Online pieces, we suggest the following model:

For pieces published prior to August 2017:

Myrna S. Raeder, History Redux: The Unheard Voices of Domestic Violence Victims, A Comment on Aviva Orenstein’s Sex, Threats and Absent Victims, 79 Fordham L. Rev. Res Gestae 21 (2011),

For pieces published after August 2017:

Instead of citing to Fordham L. Rev. Res Gestae, please cite to Fordham L. Rev. Online.
